The future is fuckin terrifying, the idea of the unknown is something that haunts the thoughts of countless who meditate on the subject, myself included. But in the infinite number of paths and doors both our own and the other conscious vessels there’s a horror show of beauty, pain and knowledge waiting to be acquired.
No mystic we seek in the world can come to a conclusion, even with a glimpse through the eye hole, just suggest the best wisdom they have available. I love it. The future is a never ending learning process and it’s forever changing. Even when you feel you’ve come to know it, other factors are introduced and your spiral back to the terror that is square one. All the knowledge you’ve gained from the past seems to evolve with every second your mind processes more information, so in a sense the future is humbling cause it reminds us about how little we actually know and how far we are willing to push ourselves to continue.
My future so far is nothing I thought it would be and I’m nowhere I thought I would. But the places I’ve been and experiences I’ve had have all been fucking amazing. But the steps i’m taking now have me pacing like a maniac thinking of where I’ll be headed next…
Meditate on whats happened, whats coming and what to do to get there. Don’t dwell on past mistakes, embrace the ones coming. Fuck the mystics that tell you your path is set and who you are, you are who you make yourself.
On an ordinary night as the lights lit up the city of London there was some thing special taking place… Just minutes from some of the most grand land marks of the city of London Jermain a private security agent greeted hundreds of guest arriving to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Lowrider Tattoo Studio. It was overwhelming the amount of people who came to support us from all over the world. Old friends new friends, tattoo enthusiast, tattoo collectors and party goers they all came together to support all the hard work that was put into this amazing project which has been in the works for the last two years. Finally after so much work from every one on both end of the world and blood sweat and tears it has become a reality that so many people got to experience.
Our boy Boogstar was a must attendee, He came to show his support for the brand and really got things going as the Mexican Mariachi showed up and the trumpets began to sing. It was amazing my good friend Dimitri went all out with so many surprises he had laid out for the night from entertainers caterers and musicians. So many new friendships were made and most important so many more were re enforced, I got stranded in the back room unable to get out, a big mistake I had to to work on that day but soon decided to end it to go out and greet the guest. My good friend for a long time now Doodles show up with the usual Irish touch a bottle of Jameson whisky. Im proud to announce that he is a member of the Lowrider Tattoo family and has always been.
We have talked so much about this with my boy Noah Minuskin, Paul and lee, They were posted holding up the fort.
It was a big surprise to see my brothers Enzo and Lucio from Napoli they came to show their love along with our good friend Rodney. It was a beautiful night but like every other night it had to come to an end but not before giving out some thing special. Jun had the idea of creating something to give to one lucky person. Jun, Andrick, Noah, Pablo and me drew up a nice drawing which we raffled away at the end of the night. It was a perfect night, everyone was so happy to have Lowrider as part of their own family.
The most Happiest was me…. The woman who supports me on booth sides was there to see what has come from all the endless nights of hard work. The only word I can think of to explain how I feel is Blessed.
This has been the best year for the Lowrider Tattoo brand. We have acquired a seat at the Throne, and with so much goodness comes lots of responsibilities. We thank everybody for helping and supporting us all over the world, every time you tune in to our Facebook, website, or Instagram you fuel our souls and give us the energy to keep fighting day after day. There is so much in the works for the next couple of years including the new Lowrider Tattoo London Studio Opening January 2014. A wise man once told me “don’t be afraid, be ready” and that we are.
With that said I would like to thank every one that came to support us in New York We had a tremendous time full of laughs. Our boy Jake Whank and the whole Whank Team showed up with a strong presence. His whole team got tattooed by all of the Lowrider Tattoo Camp.
A man with a vision, a man going against the current believing not only in himself but in his whole team made up of friends who are also sacrificing so much for what they believe in. All of us at Lowrider Tattoo wish you the best, this wont be the last time we see each other. We’ll see you again in Atlantic City soon brother.
Our good friend Piero came in early in the week and had a beautiful portrait of a very specific Saint, Padre Pio. Padre Pio was said to have had the gift of reading souls, the ability to bilocate (according to eyewitness accounts), among other supernatural phenomena.[25] The reports of supernatural phenomena surrounding Padre Pio attracted fame and legend. Even the Vatican was initially skeptical. I enjoyed doing tattoo a lot and spending the day with a good friend made it even better.
One of the longest tattoo sessions on this trip was on our boy Brian Whank, we spent 12 hours tattooing away, He got a picture posed by his girlfriend dressed in a traditional Vietnamese dress. It was stunning and it has to be seen in person to be appreciated.
Nick borino had just visited us recently at the studio and again had the chance to see us once again. We finished his chest plate which by the way looked amazing. There was so much going on on both floors machines buzzing nonstop. Different conversations going on from all the artist and clients. Our homie Feliz and his wife went all the way to take care of us and show us the Brooklyn experience the way it is was meant we thank all of you once again.
Polo from Vinnies styles our good friend for a long time now got the best piece, a portrait of nelson mandela and Malcolm X.
Noah Minuskin, Klown Saravia, Pablo Aponte and myself all worked endless hours to accomplish all this but the end result is always worth all the effort we put into our work. I have to say New York showed us a lot of love and we are forever grateful…..We will return but before we do we need to make a stop in London.
